The Mamas Recommend: Papatitos Kinderschoenen

Quality children's shoes from Spain...in the Netherlands? Yes, it's true! Read more about Papatitos Kinderschoenen, Amsterdam Mamas' new favourite webshop for children's shoes.

Belén Castaño, Spanish-born mother-of-two, loves Spanish shoes and was always buying them for her little ones in her country. “Quality, style, and a good price” is what she always looked for. Her passion for shoes and her search for good value for money lead to the creation of her business in the Netherlands. “My objective is to bring choice and quality to you at affordable prices,” says Belén.

Papatitos Kinderschoenen is a webshop which showcases unique and fashionable boots, sandals, party shoes, and canvases for children. All the shoes are made in Spain by local companies who have a long tradition of shoe production using natural materials. The selected manufacturers are traditional family enterprises that have the shared philosophy of providing exceptional children’s shoes by selecting the best natural leathers, forms, outsoles, and cotton textiles.

The Papatitos Kinderschoenen webshop is user-friendly and has options to browse in both English and Dutch. “Papatitos wants to grow together with you, offering the best market supply in terms of quality and design, and, of course, all our products are always manufactured in Spain,” says a very proud Belén. You can browse the webshop for girls, boys, party wear, and of course, a very attractive sale section. Shoe sizes range from 20 to 37 depending on the models. All deliveries are made within 2 to 3 days and there is free standard delivery within The Netherlands.

You can shop in the comfort of your home and surprise your little ones without having to drag them to the high street. Each season Belén tries to introduce newer products so you can be sure to find the perfect shoe for your little boy or girl, all year round.

For those few of us who still prefer old fashioned shopping, Papatitos Kinderschoenen shoes are now also available at three stores in Amsterdam:
Kwinkel voor Kinderen (De Pijp)
Wijs West (Oud West)
IamEva (Jordaan)

These stores have a smaller selection of the shoes and fewer models than those available online. For the whole selection, the webshop is the best option.

Though Belén is not involved directly in the design process of the shoes, she personally chooses all her favourite combinations for the Dutch market. She is open to suggestions and customers can contact her and make requests for specific models or sizes they are looking for; she will take those into account for the next purchase order she makes to the manufacturer.

When I asked Belén to tell us what her personal favourite shoe is, she enthusiastically answered, “I love all my shoes, so it is difficult to pick up one. The different ballerinas, Inglesitos, and other shoes for a smart dress-up are a bit special for me because they reflect very much the Spanish style and spirit that inspires my webshop.”

Take a look at the webshop and decide yourself!
